Brittany Murphy

Yep, you all know it... she's dead.
Never been a fan of her, but I'll always remember her as Tai in the movie Clueless
But other than that I didn't really care.

Oooh, I almost forgot;
Got my laptop last week, and it's working ok I guess. It has Windows 7 installed on it, which I'm not quite used to yet. But now I can easily play CS and Starcraft with friends when they visit, and that rocks!

UFC 107

Sorry about the lack of updates, it's just that... umm... just... I've been sooooo busy.

UFC 107 was awesome. Frank Mir is turning out to be one of the top contenders to Brock's belt, though I guess Carwin is still first in line. Dana White said that if Brock needs that major surgery then there will be a interim title. But I really want that Lesnar guy beaten!

And BJ Penn... yeah I don't know what to say, hats off to ya! He truly is dominating the 155. Please BJ, don't get overconfident and challenge GSP just yet. If you want to fight him you need to take on a couple of other welterweights first. THEN we can have that sweet fight. (If GSP is content with staying in his weightclass that is).

Btw, I need money! I need to buy a synth! :D
Hopefully I can get a job next year, or at least some a-kassa or whatever. And I think I need a PS3 aswell...

Alright, this time it's serious, I will update here more often, even though the updates might suck I will still do it.

Cheers!

WoT

Gonna start reading the Wheel of Time books again. "The Gathering Storm" is now out! And I really want something good to read now during the cold and boring winter.

Rand! Moridin! Lanfear! Aelfinn and Eelfinn! The Forsaken!!! Wow, I can't wait to start reading those awesome books again.

Mobile Phone

I need a new mobile phone... My old one is acting really really weird. :(

So I just saw the new Sony Ericsson Satio phone, and it does look quite cool.
But I dunno, I've never tried a touchscreen phone, and it comes with a 12mp camera? That probably won't be as good as a 5mp camera, but higher numbers sell I guess.

So is the Satio worth it?

The Xenon flash and good camera is really important to me, like, REALLY! :)
Don't care about touchscreen though.

Aight

Yeah I'm sorry about the lack of updates!

Nothing really interesting is going on in my life at the moment. But I'm ok with that.

40 minutes to UFC 103! Can't wait.
I hope Franklin wins his fight :D

I kind of hate math, or at least dislike it by a fair amount from time to time... :(

When Farrah Fawcett arrived at heaven and God granted her one wish, she wished all the children in the world would be safe. So God took MJ...

Sorry :D

MJ

So he's gone now.

Hopefully people will remember him for his music not for his weird stuff he was doing. Personally I never really cared about his personal life, sure maybe he was crazy and dangerous to kids (ha ha...), but that didn't really bother me. I liked his old music.

Heroes 3

Yeah, lots of Heroes 3 playing lately! It's an awesome game I must say. Try it!

Why is Systembolaget still in business? I don't want those idiots controlling the market. Sure, it's an old tradition here in Sweden, but still. Get rid of it!
We're not gonna get 5 million new alcoholics just because of that. Please let Statoil sell real beer! Nuff said!

Fedora 11

Fedora 11 is out.

I already have a really good installation of Linux right now, with Linux Mint. But I really wanna try the new Fedora (the distribution, not the hat).
Guess I could try it with VMWare, but it's not the same.
I think I'll have to bite in the sour apple and reinstall it all! ;P
(Bite in the sour apple = bita i det sura äpplet) Hahahah...

It's good that the Pirate Party did well in the election. And MP did awesome aswell. KD sucks though!

I'm done with everything in school for now! Feels sooo good!
Now I just need a job over the summer... and it doesn't look good. My chances that is.

New TV

Looking around for a new TV.
Probably gonna go with LCD, around 40" I think, and Full-HD of course.
The problem is that it's quite expensive, and I don't have a PS3 yet. But if I find a really really really good deal on any of those two things I'll go for it! It will be worth it! Right?
So are there any thoughts around new TVs? LCD or Plasma? LED perhaps? Size? Brand? Other stuff I haven't thought of?

I checked out Korg Triton Extreme today, wow... WOW! I want a new digital piano! They are a tad pricey for me at the moment. Especially since I want a TV and a PS3 too.

Linux Mint

Looks like Linux Mint is about to be announced!
I've tried the Release Candidate before, and it looks great.

Downloading the main edition right now, will install it soon. First I'll try DreamLinux though, never used XFCE actually, so this will be interesting!

Dav recommended a new PS3 game, Infamous. I checked it out, and it sure looks cool. Check it out people! Use google...

Could it be possible to remember the future?

Lyoto Machida

Wow... what can I say? He must be the best P4P fighter in the world right now.
I'm really happy! He's amazing...
gah!

Weird.

I'll write more stuff tomorrow.

G'nite!

PS3

I've been playing a lot of PS3 with Freddy lately, and the game we play is of course Resident Evil 5. Yeah that's right! Resident Evil 5.
The game is really fun and cool, though not scary at all. It's very action oriented, but we knew that coming in so we weren't disappointed :)
I'd love to see some remakes of old RE games for PS3 with the new "RE4-camera".

What else? Oh, UFC 98 tomorrow! I'm really looking forward to the Evans vs Machida match. I really hope Machida will get the belt, he is... just awesome! (Think Ryu of Street Fighter 2)

AWESOME! is it not?

Linux: Still haven't decided which distro I'm gonna go for. Tried about 6 or 7 of them lately. Having some trouble with the X-configuration on monitor+TV, but hopefully I'll work that out soon enough.

Statistically, 9 out of 10 people enjoy gang rape... HAHA... sorry :(

Anyways, back to studying math.
Cheers!

Xbox 360 copied Playstation? Yeah!

Ghost hunters

Been watching a lot of Ghost hunters episodes the last couple of days, and I'm still not convinced! They're doing a good job debunking stuff, but I dunno about the supposedly hauntings...
I think I might go down to the old crematorium here and try some EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon). Maybe I can get some cool readings down there :)

On another note; I've decided that PS3 is gonna be my next "machine". Looking forward to that!

And I'm still on Windows 7, and it actually works great! In earlier versions I've had some problems with my Audiophile 24/96, but now it works flawlessly. Even Reaper + VSTi:s works. I'm amazed that Microsoft really seems to be pulling this through. Cool. But I bet the final version of the O/S will be quite expensive though :(

I'm gonna leave you with an "old" YouTube clip, or actually just the link to it.

Xbox 360

I can't save up enough money to buy a PS3, so I think I will try to get my hands on a Xbox 360 instead.

The main reasons for getting that sweeeet machine is:

1. My PS2 is almost broken (takes at least 20 minutes of resetting to get one game working. And I'm not even kidding about the time frame..)

2. Resident Evil 5. I loved RE 1-4, and even though Capcom has gone a different route from the Survival/Horror genre I still want that game!

3. UFC Undisputed. I don't really care about the gameplay or the graphics, I just want a game where I can kick my friends asses! Hell yeah!

4. Final Fantasy 13. I used to love the Final Fantasy games (especially 7-10, and a little bit of 6 as well) and it's true that the released footage of the new FF-game doesn't look so appealing to me, I will still give a chance.

So, should I go for a Xbox 360 or save up lots of lots of money and buy a PS3?

Ghosts

Do you believe in ghosts?

Well, do you?

I personally don't know what to believe. I have friends that says they've seen ghosts or some weird stuff. I don't think that they're lying, I believe they're sure that they saw/heard 'something' though. But, I didn't... So I have no proof :)

So let's just say I don't believe in ghosts until I've experience one, or if I (or mankind) ever come up with an adequate explanation to their existence.

Next post: Probably UFOs! (I've seen one of those! Though I think my eyes were fooled by.. my brain)

Atheism

Hmm... just read an article about atheism and various religions, and I just wanted to say that there's a difference in the following two statements:

I do not believe that God exists

and

I believe that God does not exists

It's weak atheism and strong atheism. (Negative and positive)
Just so you know... :)

Atheist, agnostic, ignostic, nontheist.. I'm hard to label, and I don't really agree to 100% with any of those terms I think (although they vary greatly depending on source). I'd say I'm an atheist with doubts... a 'doubtist' :P
I do not believe that any God or Gods exists. To me there's not enough proof of him/her/it/them existing, at least not yet.
I like proof. I want to be able to use one or all of my senses to identify something, or logic of some sort... Other people's stories just doesn't cut it! But that's just me.
IMHO people are allowed to believe whatever they want to believe as long as it doesn't harm other people (or property!) :D
And whatever you believe, please don't be condescending.

Bah, I'm really tired and I don't really know if I make any sense right now (probably not). :(
But it's not like any of you million readers out there care about what I write, right?

Feel the love!

I don't know, I just don't want to live in a society where Big Brother is watching every step I take.

You might be laughing now, but really; are we not moving closer to that society with all these new laws? FRA, IPRED.. maybe The EU Data Directive! :O

Nah, we live in a democratic society we don't have to worry... right?...

Jack Schitt

Someone once said to me:
-You know jack shit!
I, of course, agreed with that and said that I DO know jack shit. I know him very well.

Jack is the son of Awe Schitt and O. Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt Inc. They had one son, Jack. In turn Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt, the deeply religious couple produced 6 children
Holie Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Giva Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins: Deap Schitt and Dip Schitt. Against her parents' objections, Deap Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school drop out.
However, after being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later remarried Ted Sherlock and, because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name.
She was then known as Noe Schitt-Sherlock. Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt and they produced a son of nervous disposition, Chicken Schitt.
Two other of the 6 children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony.
The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens wedding. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Hoarse.
Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.

So yeah, I sure know Jack Schitt!

The Dragon

Alright, so it's official, Lyoto Machida will fight Rashad Evans on UFC 98. I expect it to be the best match of 2009. I really hope Machida wins, he is to me what Ryu is to Street Fighter 2! ;P
But first we have UFC 97, Liddell vs Rua will probably be an awesome match.
And Anderson Silva will defend his belt in his fight.

WAR MACHIDA!

Cool

So me and Freddy saw this night's UFC. And it was a good event. I was rooting for Jackson of course, but when I found out that Machida would get a title shot if Jardine won I kinda hesitated. The TechnoViking did not win though...
And Shane Carwin is looking really good, maybe he should now be considered as one of the top contenders to the belt.

And oh, watched some of Gervais' shows with Johan and Jill earlier. But I'm not sure they agreed with my thoughts on the genius that is Ricky Gervais, at least Jill didn't seem to agree. Had some good discussion about my possible future though :)

Visitors

Johan and Jill are on their way here... with wine!
I don't wanna get too drunk tonight, since I'm gonna stay up for UFC! It starts at 04:00 (Or 4am if you don't get that).

Stay classy Halmstad!

UFC 96

Yup, UFC 96 tomorrow. Not the best fight card in history, but still good enough for me to loose a night's worth of sleep.
Really only interested in Quinton Jackson vs Keith Jardine match up. Maybe I care a biiiit about Gonzaga as well, mainly because of his name... Gonzaga! Sounds cool doesn't it? Sounds like something you'd yell when you chop bamboo with your katana.

Nothing really new here, still thinking about education and whatnot. At the moment it's leaning towards "civilingenjör", or Master of Science in Engineering. And I might (and probably) will go with the direction of computer security.
But I don't know, it's 5 years (+ a year for technical basics for me). So 6 years of pure studying and loooots of math and physics. Don't know if I can cope with that...
But on the other hand, I might as well try it out, if it doesn't suit me then I can just go and do something else. Always worth a shot right?

Blondincalle

So... I got these new clothes today. And O-M-G, they were gorgeous. Fabulous!!

I actually ate some chocolate today, Marabou's milk chocolate. Think I'm going out on a power walk later today.
My new jeans fits perfectly! Even though my ass might look big in them, I wear them proudly. Ghetto booty!

And what else?... OH, I listened to some old songs by Bryan Adams. I nearly cried. That man is a genius with words. He even out-does Shakespeare's amateur fiddling with words. Bryan Bryan Bryan, what a marvelous man he is!

I might go to the mall later today. Hmm... I wonder if they have these cool new sunglasses.

Take care and stay safe!
XOXO

Conundrum?

So let's say you start at a new job, alright? You and one of your colleagues get along quite nicely. He introduces his new wife to you, and she's cute like a button... Your colleague seems to love her very much.
A couple of days later you see your colleague's wife making out with another guy.
So what do you do? Do you tell your new "friend" that his wife is cheating on him? And possibly destroy their relationship.
Or do you just pretend you didn't see anything since you think it's really none of your business?

I'm not really sure what I would do. Since I don't really know the guy that good yet, (the colleague) it might be better not to get too involved.
On the other hand, since my new colleague and I might be working together for a long time maybe I should tell him what I saw right away.

But I don't know. What would YOU do? And why?

Gervais

I've been listening a lot to Ricky Gervais' podcasts lately. They are hilarious. I recommend you all to listen to em! (It was Gervais and Merchant who created The Office and Extras. So you know who they are).
And I can't understand Karl Pilkington... is he really that "stupid"?. It feels like it must've been scripted or something. Or that he's playing a character... but from what I heard he IS really that "stupid".
But stupid or not, Karl Pilkington has outrageous and interesting ideas and his train of thoughts are not of this world. Pure comedy!

And speaking of Gervais, the man is a genius! Simple as that. And I recommend his stand up shows; Animals, Fame and Politics. (Those are three different shows) Check em out and laugh at fat people. ;)

Symphonic Choirs and religion

I'm gonna try a new VSTi soon. EWQL's Symphonic Choirs.
If any of you readers have tried that please comment here and tell me if it's worth it. (Yeah Dav, I'm looking at you!)

Still getting used to Reaper, and it looks like it's really a good alternative to Cubase and other DAWs. But to be honest I haven't really tried that many features yet, so far I'm only loading VST's and play/record stuff. Pure MIDI. I wonder if it can handle audio files... Or maybe I need Audacity for that.

And yeah, I saw Religulous and Zeitgeist last week... conspiracy theories are soooo much fun. I don't have enough information or facts to wholeheartedly support the conspiracies in Zeitgeist. But at least it makes you think and doubt.
Just as Bill Maher says in Religulous, he doesn't say his way of thinking is RIGHT, just that there should be doubt when it comes to these things. And I agree with that. And if you're religious, fine, I won't judge you for that, but don't force your religion on me unless asked! And don't make innocent bystanders suffer. Like, start a war with people just because they believe in another God.

Since I'm not religious I really can't understand why fundamentalist refuse to listen to reason. Or actually, I can't understand fundamentalists at all. Sure, we are all entitled to our opinions and beliefs, but you can't just ignore stuff just because it doesn't fit your way of thinking.

Never be 100% sure of anything! :)
I think creative thinking is the way for us humans, just as it was for those that wrote those books loooong ago. Stay creative and don't get lost in a chromatic life. :D

To be continued...

Idiots

I'm getting mad! There are so many idiots around the globe it's not even funny. Ignorant people who refuses to broaden their view.
I will not get in to detail right now.

I guess it's pretty clear that I'm expressing my cynicism more open and aggressive now. Which I find quite relieving.

Hmm

So I'm thinking of starting up another blog. But I'm not sure. At the moment I'm thinking along the lines of religion or USA. Or my thought on those subjects.
Probably should be written in swedish, since I cannot express myself good enough in english. And besides, if you're bashing something and have poor grammar, you look like an idiot. And that's a fact.
And speaking of idiots...
most of my friends are quite stupid. I don't know why I still hang out with them. Some of them are alright I guess, but yeah.. stupid and/or boring.

DAW

Just posting this to remind myself to write here about a DAW, namely Reaper.
I'm getting kind of tired of Cubase not working the way I want it to. And maybe I'm just toooo stupid to use Cubase =)

Anyways, Reaper looks like it could be a great contender to all the big DAWs out there. And it's bloody cheap too!

So if there's anyone out there reading this and want to get started with music editing and recording please check out Reaper. http://www.reaper.fm/
And it's a shareware! Yay.

And if Daway doesn't like this DAW I will be a sad... grizzly bear!?

UFC 94

So tonight is the night! GSP vs BJ Penn. The fight of the year perhaps?

The fight card looks amazing for this event, and I think we'll see some really good fights.

And about the main event; I think GSP will win by GnP in the third round.
It's gonna be a war. WAR!

And Machida will win win by KO in the second round.

A great night!

Diablo 3

Ok, I've seen this post all over the Net for the last couple of months. Well maybe not all over the net but at least in some Diablo forums.
It's a good read if you're into Diablo and it tells the release date of Diablo 3. Amazing huh?
Yeah, so let's get to it:
(Remember that I'm not the author of this, and I don't know who came up with it)

-----------------------------------
Please, don't judge this before you read it through and think about it! I finally, after several months of extensive research have found the true secret that Diablo carries. Please bare with me.

Believe it or not but the secret of diablo 3 is within the Dol rune. By now, you are all probably thinking wtf this guy is trolling. But before you discredit me let me show to you this jaw-dropping truth. The stats of a Dol rune:

Weapons: Hit causes monster to flee 25%
Armor: Replenish Life +7
Helms: Replenish Life +7
Shield: Replenish Life +7

Some simple mathematics:
25x7x7x7 = 8575

Why Is this important you ask?

Well. In diablo 1, the lord of terror had PRECISELY 8,575 hit points. Are you getting scared? There's more

Note the stat on the dol rune that stands out the most, "Hit causes monster to flee 25%" Now, naturally this ONLY works on regular monsters but not bosses ... right?

That's were you are wrong. In diablo II "normal" difficulty has PRECISLY 34300 Hit points ( 8575 being exactly 25% of his health!)

What does this mean to us? Well, because of some glitch in the hardcoding of d2:lod this fact somehow allows you to surpasse the boundary of "hit causes monster to flee" not affecting bosses. In other words, because of this fault on behalf of the blizzard programmers aslong as you have a dol socketed into a weapon you can make diablo run away from you with each successfull hit. Ironic isn't it? The lord of terror, in TERROR. ( Some argue this was initially an intentional "easter-egg" the programmers added for a twist)

Okay... okay. After making you read all of this I won't disappoint you. There is indeed an even greater scandal revolving around the dol rune. One that will literally make you $!@% bricks after reading this. Let's move on!

Anagrams. Guess what? An anagram of "Dol" is Lod. Coincidence? Lod stands for Lord Of Destruction which is an expansion for diablo. An anagram of Lord Of Destruction is: consider fold trout.

Consider fold trout ...

For months these words echoed in my head and it wasn't untill tonight I realised what impact these words bare and I felt compelled to type out this thread and share it with you all.

I quote Merriam websters: Quote TROUT Middle English, from Old English trūht, from Late Latin trocta, tructa, a fish with sharp teeth, from Greek trōktēs, literally, gnawer, from trōgein to gnaw Please notice the word gnaw.

I knew I had seen this very word somewhere in the game before, but where? Gnaw Fold. It was a rare ring I had left in my stash since 1.07. According to recent databases, the prefix Gnaw and the suffix Fold no longer exist, however they did in 1.07. I was one of the lucky few to recieve this ring randomly from as far as my memory serves me, from the gidbin quest. Enough about the ring, let me explain to you all how this fits together... PERFECTLY.

Gnaw Fold - Unique ring stats:
Attack rating +25
Vitality +7
Life +7
Energy +7
Mana +7

Do you see the similarities yet? Well, if you don't than look back at are old friend the dol rune.

Quote The stats of a Dol rune:
Weapons: Hit causes monster to flee 25%
Armor: Replenish Life +7
Helms: Replenish Life +7
Shield: Replenish Life +7

Admit it, you are scared? This is where this little discovery takes a VERY, VERY awkward and interesting turn.

They're three difficulties on d2 'Normal', 'Nightmare' and 'Hell' In the "Hell" mode of diablo lod, diablo has a 0.05575% chance of dropping a Dol rune. Why Is this important? Apart from the scary number-patterns this tells us that JUST as with the dol rune glitch that allowed you to make diablo flee from you, here a very simliar glitch occurs. Once again, because of the "Sloppy Hardcoding" of D2 LOD (Mind, it was a rush job after the sky-rocketing sales of classic) whenever you kill diablo in hell with this ring in your ring slot the game crashes. I bet you all are thinking now, WOW what a waste of time! He made us read ALL of this to tell us that because of the incompetence of blizzard employee's the game crashes if you wear some really rare ring and just HAPPEN to get a dol rune drop for you. This is wrong. As you will find out in just a sec there is something special about this error message. It returns the following value to your screen: 64 69 61 62 6c 6f 20 33 20 20 30 39 2f 30 39 2f 30 39.

At first glace 64 69 61 62 6c 6f 20 33 20 20 30 39 2f 30 39 2f 30 39 seems completely random, just some error code right? This is where you are wrong, deeply wrong.

64 69 61 62 6c 6f 20 33 20 20 30 39 2f 30 39 2f 30 39 is hex for : Diablo 3 09/09/09. Don't believe me? Google ANY Hex translator and try it yourself.

From this ASTONISHING information I would like to conclude that based on my findings I believe (and believe all you others should acknowledge aswell) that diablo 3's official release date is 09/09/09.
------------------------------

Quite cool huh? Yeah, conspiracy theories about Area 51 and the moon landing, and even 9/11 got nothing on this!

Under and in!

Sonar 8

Gonna try out Cakewalk Sonar 8 next week. Getting kind of tired on Cubase.

I actually feel awesome today. One would've thought I'd be sleeping the whole day and being hungover, but no! I'm happy.

Drunk

Got drunk, got in a fight... or an almost fight. He wanted smokes from me, I refused to give him some, he slapped me, I slapped him and pushed him to the ground. His friend saved me and said that "all is cool, we no need to fight". I pooped my pants and agreed. No need for fights, just party on.
Still drunk, met Jessica, she was hot. Might meet up with her next week.
Feels like this is just something I wrote because tomorrow I will forget it.. so... yeah! Party on people!

Alcohol is not always good. But I still love it.

Merry New Year

I'm awefully sorry about the lack of updates lately, but I've just been so busy. Busy with what I do not know... but still!

Been playing lots of WoW during the holidays aswell, so I guess that would explain my absence from this totally awesome blog!

Just tried Superior Drummer today, and unholy turd it sure rocks! Still haven't figured out exactly how to use MIDI-libraries efficiently, but at least I got it working!
So to all of you that are thinking of maybe buying some new software drums for your computer I highly recommend Toontrack's Superior Drummer. And it's quite cheap, $349!

So take care all you interwebbers out there!
Cheers!
